Manding as one of the centers for leather crafting industries in Bantul Regency. For most people of Yogyakarta would have been not too familiar with the name of the Manding. Hamlet where various Craft Leather Craftsmen is located in the Village Sabdodadi, Bantul District, Bantul regency in Parangtritis Road, approximately 3 km east of  Bantul City. The place has many leather craftsmen and shops selling leather products such as jackets, shoes, bag, belt as well as varied accessories made of leather like picture frames and key hanger.. It has been many years in Manding society leather efforts to pursue this. Various handicraft products made from animal skin, especially goats produced by the skilled hands of Manding. Manding leather is not solely used as an ingredient in leather craft but also integrate the skin with other raw materials like natural fibers of pandanus, mendong, water hyacinth, agel and stick.

Outlet Shoes on Manding 

Manding leather craft ever experienced a glory time in 1970s until 1980s. Although it’s not glory as it ever be, but now it still becomes the center of the leather tourism village in Bantul, Yogyakarta. Manding region has about 40 traditional leather business which are done by hundreds of local people. Manding region can be equated with Cibaduyut region in Bandung, West Java.
